My parents have always pushed me to never give up even when things get hard, and they have always supported me throughout this journey. They have always pushed me to be the best I can be, and I am very grateful for that.

Whom else would you like to thank for your success?

I would like to thank God for giving me this great talent that I can use to bring glory to Him. I would also like to thank my team for always being there for me. They are the best group of girls I could ever ask for, and I love each of them very much. They always know how to make me smile when I'm having an off day, and they never give up on me. I would also like to thank all of my coaches who have invested in me throughout my volleyball career.

Describe your Christian testimony.

I have grown up in church all of my life. I have never known anything else.

One day after the message, when I was eight years old, the preacher at Super Church asked if anyone would like to be saved. I raised my hand, and they took me to a separate room with someone to talk to me about giving my life to the Lord.

The lady in charge talked me through some things, and at the end, she asked me if I would like to get saved right then and there or wait for my parents to be with me. I decided to wait and do it with my parents. After the service, I ran to my parents and told them I would like to be saved. We sat down together, and I said my little prayer. A couple weeks later, I got baptized.

However, even after all of that had happened, I never really felt a change inside of me. I just kept living the same way I had always lived.

It wasn’t until I went to Trinity Youth Camp in 2018 that something changed. We sat down for the service, and the preacher said he was going to talk about Heaven and Hell. To be honest, I had thought that this message wasn’t really going to affect me, and I kind of wanted him to preach on something else.

As he was preaching, I started to get a little shaky, and there were a bunch of knots in my stomach. My eyes started to tear up, and I didn’t know what was happening because I had never had this feeling before. I knew I needed to talk to God that night. During the invitation, I got a friend from the back and asked her if she would go down with me and pray because I couldn’t think straight at this point.

We sat down together at the altar, and I rededicated my life to the Lord that night. Since then, I have seen a change in my life. Now, I play in my church’s youth band on Wednesday nights, and I will sometimes play in the Sunday services.

I have invited my whole team to come to church with me. Some of them have come, and I love being able to share my testimony with them. One of my teammates actually got saved the first Wednesday she came, and that was something that was really special. Some of my other teammates have even encouraged their other teammates to come to church, and I have seen real growth in their lives.

I love being able to share this with my teammates because church is something that has helped me grow as a Christian, and I love being able to share this with my girls.
